What are Nutrients?
These are chemical substances that are available on each and every living thing or other substances available on our planet Earth. Each nutrient has different importance in our body. Types of Nutrients:-

- Proteins: Also commonly known as large and complex molecules and helps in making the development, structure, function and regulation of the body tissues and organs. It is commonly found in fish, cheese, pulses and so on. It is quite important for body tissues and cells as it helps in maintaining the cellular activities of the body.
- Fats: These are nutrients which we get from the food and diet we intake. It is important to maintain your fat intake although it is important to intake fat in our diet but too much of it is harmful. It is essential as it provides your body energy to work. While workout the energy is being obtained from the carbs eaten before.
- Vitamins: Vitamin is very important for the body and it is further subdivided into 13 types of vitamins. We all know that different vitamins are important for fulfilling different needs in the body. Vitamins are basically organic compounds. Therefore, it contains carbon. It is one of the most important nutrients for the body. We have these 13 vitamins which are as follows:-
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin E

- Minerals: These are those nutrients which the body needs to develop and function. These are important parts for the development of bones and other necessary parts of the body as it contains calcium, magnesium, potassium and so on.
- Dietary fibre: It is required for the body for the process of good digestion and other things. It is available in cereals, fruits and vegetables.
- Water: It helps in protecting your spinal cord and other sensitive issues and helps in getting rid of waste products from our body through urination and other means.
